During my six-week graphic design course in the vibrant city of Copenhagen, Denmark, I was tasked with creating a new visual identity for the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. This new identity consists of a vibrant color pallet, logo, logo mark, poster design, three non-alcoholic beer can label designs, and a short gif /animation.

These label designs aim to immerse viewers with a bright and playful tone that opens up the 2025 Copenhagen Jazz Festival to everyone. Using naturalistic illustrations, the visual identity relates to the beauty found in the wilderness connecting us and the music we experience to all of the life around us. The use of onomatopoeias as the names for the non-alcoholic beers invites audience members to participate in the creation of music and imagine how the words on the cans could sound when played musically.
Design Assets

Inspired by blooming flora, this color palette is made up of a mix of bold colors and gradients. Although the illustrations on the poster and cans are quite varied from each other, the consistent use of this palette across all products creates an overall sense of unity.

This animation is Intended as a social media promotional short. The bold flashing colors grab viewers' attention. As a GIF that repeats on a loop, you can find it hard to stop watching as the frames while the colors change before your eyes, leaving you in a hypnotic state. Note that, if this animation were to be used as a promotional video, the color changes should be synched to the beat of a jazz song and should come to an end to reveal the logo mark or entire logo, “Copenhagen Jazz Festival”, written out for a more comprehensive advertising video.
